Friday Feelings

Some general updates about upcoming stuff in the After-Times.

I am currently reading some advanced reader copies of some very exciting upcoming books, but the publishers have requested that the reviews be posted close to their publication and release, so unfortunately I do not have a book essay for you today. Next week you will have a review on The Life She Was Given by Ellen Marie Wiseman (out July 25th) along with Dragon Teeth by Michael Crichton and Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff.

If you look over to the right——> you should see an RSS feed of my podcast episodes. These links are clickable if you would like to listen in your browser. Based on the Book is successfully off the ground and is accessible through your favorite podcast app as well due to its availability on iTunes and Google Play Music. Subscribe, rate, and review and I’m glad to have you as a listener!

I wanted to give you all a quick heads up about content. My contract with the online school I had been teaching at for two and a half years was not renewed this year, and so I have been forced to return to in-school teaching this fall. So beginning August 7th I’ll be at school until 2:30pm each day Monday through Friday. At first you may notice a reduction in posting as I re-acclimate, but no later than Labor Day weekend everything should be back to normal. I am working on a post outlining what happened at my previous job, but since people don’t really understand how it works I want to make sure it’s written really well and clearly before I post it.

Extra special content will be available at the end of August. The husband and myself will be driving up to northern Georgia to witness the total solar eclipse on August 21st, and I plan to get video of the experience if at all possible. If you are wondering if this once-in-a-lifetime event is happening near you, put your address into the search field at the top of this interactive website and google maps will show you if you are in the totality path. I will share my experience here, but if you would like to have the experience for yourself this may be one of your only chances in the USA in our lifetimes.

Starting in September when Destiny 2 drops for Playstation I will be livestreaming on a regular basis as my online friends and I move through the content. If you are a video game nerd and are interested in seeing what the game is like or just seeing me blast my way around all my live videos are saved up to 60 days on my Twitch page:

I know I haven’t done many live videos on my Facebook page lately ( but I also plan to bring those back for a once a week check in after the summer is over. My life is just really boring right now and if I don’t have anything to say I’m not going to spam your feed with my face. Trust me you’ll want to see me get angry about teaching in the classroom, that’s the gift that keeps on giving.

Those are a few things coming up. Thank you for continuing to read and follow, and I’ll see you back here on Monday. Have a great weekend.
