Thank you for subscribing to my blog (if you are receiving this via email) and if you are here for the first time, welcome! You can subscribe to my reviews and posts by clicking the button just there on the right sidebar. I post 1-2 book reviews per week (or I try to!) and I like to think I’m pretty trustworthy. 🙂
I’m not posting a review today though. I’m doing something I’ve never had to do before.
Asking for help on the internet.
This is Rosie. She’s a 9 year old miniature schnauzer who gives excellent kisses.
On Wednesday of this past week, Rosie was running around in our yard when she gave a giant yipe and then began limping. She already had a luxating patella, so we made an appointment with our vet to have it popped back into place as per usual. But at our appointment on Saturday, X-rays showed a torn CCL (link not from our vet) in addition to the patella issue, which would require surgery.
We have a consult with the surgeon on Wednesday that will cost $185, and then the subsequent surgery has been estimated at $3600 and I am not sure if this includes pain medications or follow up visits.
If you are a regular reader of my blog, a subscriber, or just a pet lover or someone who wants to help that has come here for the first time and you are willing to help us afford this surgery, please consider either my Paypal or my Ko-Fi page. When visiting my Ko-Fi page, Rosie’s Surgery goal will be displayed on the left hand side of my profile and you can see how close we are to reaching the goal. If you donate via Paypal I will update the Ko-Fi page with your donation.

Thank you for taking the time to read this post, and if you choose to help Rosie, thank you for your generosity. Now back to our regularly scheduled book content.
[…] have some good news! As I was setting up my crowdfunding for Rosie’s surgery yesterday, I discovered that the Ko-Fi website allows me to set up a shop for selling items. […]
