It’s a rare non-review post!
Today was my first day back for the 2022-2023 school year. There are always 5 teacher preparation days before the students’ first day of school, so I’ll have 4 more days to get everything set up and ready. What’s different about this year is that I am already about 90% prepared because I’ve built up materials over the past 5 years. I can finally transition away from constantly having to create things/plan lessons to perfecting and enhancing those lessons. The amount of stress this transition has removed from my usual start of the year panic is substantial.
The school year does typically bring a slow down in my posts, but this year I will do my level best to make sure that doesn’t happen. Don’t forget to subscribe so you receive those posts directly in your inbox when they are posted. The sign up link is just to the right in the side menu. Join the Angry Angel Books family!
Just a reminder that if you enjoy my reviews and would like to send something small to a tip jar of sorts, you can click the icons in that right side menu to use Paypal or Ko-Fi to send a few bucks. I use that money to keep this site ad free as well as affording to support small, independent bookstores around the country. If you’d rather not send money, you can buy something from my Amazon Wishlist and have it sent to my gift address.
I posted a few weeks ago about my sweet dog Rosie; if you would like to help you can visit my specific fundraising site on Ko-Fi or send anything via your preferred source. We appreciate any help you would be willing to offer.
Finally I will be setting up my used bookstore on Ko-Fi over the next month. Books I have read but would like to make available to others will be listed there with media mail shipping included in the price. I have one book up at the moment, but watch that space for several others to appear by the end of August. Give some of my books a new home in your home or buy for gifts this holiday season! 🙂
Send good vibes my way as I enter a new year and I’ll send some your way too. As always, thank you for reading!
