Welcome back! 2023 Week 3 begins as I am enjoying a three day weekend. MLK day is the only holiday we get between now and Spring Break (March 11-19) so the husband and I are trying to enjoy it as much as we can. Join me as I move through the third week of the year. Furious Angel Book Club

This year I launched/announced a new venture for Angry Angel Books: the Furious Angel Book Club. It meets monthly and the first three months will be open to any level of membership on Patreon or Ko-Fi. Click here to read about this new community. This month’s title is Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. Links for the book club meeting will go out to all levels of membership on Patreon and Ko-Fi next weekend.

Book Reviews

I have two reviews scheduled for this week. One is a book that I thought a would be finished with last week but needed a little extra time to finish.

The Golden Enclaves is the final book in Naomi Novik’s Scholomance trilogy (A Deadly Education, The Last Graduate). I finished this one during Winter Break 2022 and forgot to review it, so here it comes!

Don’t Fear the Reaper (The Indian Lake Trilogy #2): The follow up to My Heart is a Chainsaw (The Indian Lake Trilogy #1), we rejoin Jade 4 years after the July 4th massacre. She’s being released from prison at the same time as a notorious serial killer, who is on his way to Proofrock to exact his revenge. This is an advanced reader copy, and my review will be in advance of the book’s publication. Don’t Fear the Reaper is currently available for preorder and will officially release on February 7, 2023.

Live Streaming/Videos

You can watch and chat along with me live on Twitch or view my sessions afterward on YouTube, but either way I’ll be playing on a regular schedule so you know when to tune in. All sessions are a little flexible on start and stop times, and if a session is cancelled it will be marked on my Twitch channel.

I am off work for the MLK holiday on 1/16 so I might sneak an extra stream in there.

Essay Series

Last week I posted the first of my personal essays on Patreon and Ko-Fi. Visit either place and you can scroll through my feed and click on the essay. It is available to anyone.

The first few of these will be accessible to everyone who visits my pages. As I move forward though, some essays may contain information about myself or my opinions that, for my own safety, will be locked behind various levels of paywalls. The cheapest membership will be $3 per month and the highest at the moment is $30 per month, and you can be a member either on Patreon or Ko-Fi, the same content will be available in the same way on both platforms.
