Book Reviews
I’m hoping to have two book reviews ready for you this week. I had expected to finish these last week but didn’t quite get there. One is a spy thriller with a main character trying to root out a mole, the other is the first in a fantasy series about fallen gods and the powers they accidentally bestowed upon mortals.

I absolutely loved The Fervor by Alma Katsu, so when I saw Red London appear on NetGalley I requested it (and was approved!) but it’s the second book in a series. I picked Red Widow up at the library to read first. Alma Katsu is former CIA so her books have a deeper level of detail that makes them extra suspenseful. Red London is available for preorder now and will be available anywhere books are sold on March 14, 2023.

Hannah Whitten wrote For the Wolf and For the Throne, the Wilderwood Duology that I thoroughly enjoyed. Her writing is very lush, whether she’s describing a beautiful gown or a rotting corpse you will be able to envision it with ease. There seems to be a necromancy trend moving through the fantasy genre at the moment, and I’m here for it. The Foxglove King is the first in another series by Whitten that is available for preorder now and will be available wherever books are sold on March 7, 2023.
Live Streaming/Videos
I am making slow and steady process toward Twitch Affiliate status. I’ve only been streaming purposefully since January 1st and I’ve leveled off at about 2.65 concurrent viewers. Starting this week I’ll be streaming daily Sunday through Thursday from 6pm to 8:30pm EST, ad Friday and Saturday from 6pm to 10pm EST. I’m now streaming directly from my PS5 and via capture card from my Nintendo Switch. Below are the games I am currently switching between throughout the week.
Nintendo Switch: Hades, Pikmin 3, Minecraft
Playstation 5: Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Horizon Zero Dawn
If you want to help me reach Affiliate status, simply click the link at the top of this post, then click on Twitch anytime I’m streaming and there I’ll be!
Angry Angel Crafts
I have finished the top of my test quilt throw blanket!

This was made using a $15 pack of random fabric squares purchased on Amazon. I didn’t really plan this out very much, it was meant to re-acclimate myself with using a sewing machine and plotting out the squares.
The husband and I visited Joann Fabrics today and purchased some fabric to make a twin sized quilt for our niece’s and nephew’s birthdays in the fall. I bought enough fabrid that I think I can make two of each so I can make my first two listings on Etsy. I also got a polyester/cotton blend batting and a backing fabric for my test quilt so I can turn it into an actual quilt that can be used.
Once I have listings up on Etsy, I’ll let you know!
