Welcome back! 2023 Week 5 finds me more exhausted than usual. I’m leaving behind a stomach bug that kept me home for two days last week and a particularly frustrating teaching week. I stuck to my streaming schedule and brought my concurrent viewers average up to 2.04 (the goals is 3). Just keep swimming – slow and steady wins the race.

Furious Angel Book Club

This year I launched/announced a new venture for Angry Angel Books: the Furious Angel Book Club. It meets monthly and the first three months will be open to any level of membership on Patreon or Ko-Fi. Click here to read about this new community. This month’s title was Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. If you haven’t become a patron or member yet, you still have time! The first three FABC meetings of 2023 are open to all levels of membership. Once February begins we’ll begin reading Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo, Book 2 in the Grisha Trilogy. If there are members to participate, the FABC February meeting will be on Saturday, February 25th at 7pm eastern time.

Book Reviews

I’ve been reading a digital advance copy of The Cradle of Ice (Moon Fall #2) by James Rollins. I am still reading it. It’s taking time, but I am patient because the story is amazing. I am optimistic that my review will finally post this week. Thank you for your patience. The Cradle of Ice is available for preorder now and will be available on February 7, 2023.

I am making slow and steady process toward Twitch Affiliate status. Here is where I am so far. Once I get that last bar to 3 concurrent viewers, I’ll be promoted and I can’t wait!

My schedule is always Tuesday/Thursday/Friday (and the occasional Monday) from 6pm(ish) to 8:30pm(ish). I also stream on the weekends, but the times are variable. Essay Series

I have the start of two essay series up on Patreon and Ko-Fi. The first is an introductory post of about 500 words, and the second is an outline of my current position and what I do for work right now. So many of my life decisions have been centered around my professional life, so to understand me, you have to know what I do for monies.
